Have you ever loved someone so much
That their heartfelt smile
Made you deeply grateful and caused you to bless
The source of this spontaneous joy:
Whether it be a song, a cricketing stroke
Or a butterfly that flew by…
You wished the singer, the player or the gardener
Good wishes from your heart
Tracing the smile of your beloved
Back to what you considered the start,
Only to find that in turn
This singer was inspired by a muse,
The cricketer by his coach
And the butterfly drawn to a flower,
That the gardener had planted in his wife’s name
Each of whom was an integral link
In a never ending chain:
The muse made beautiful by the love
That she received from her soul friend,
The coach made strong by his son’s admiration
The gardener softened by his wife’s grace.
Slowly but surely, you begin to see
All of us are interwoven like intricate lace
And the smile on your loved one’s face
Belongs to infinite eternity
So if you love even one, truly
You will not fail to see
It is the very same
As loving all of existence fully.
Hello Sangeeta,
It’s also a delight to discover more wonderful poetry from you.
I especially love:
So if you love even one, truly
You will not fail to see
It is the very same
As loving all of existence fully.
This, is powerfully important to remember.
Warm regards,
Louise
Thank you Louise 🙂
Warm Regards,
